After all that work we went to Whidbey Island to ride our bikes with Jim and Jenna.

Our appliance salesman told us that this range had such good control of the gas burners that they could operate at 15,000 BTU or set to simmer so low that you could melt chocolate on a paper plate without burning the plate...I provide the proof...get a Viking range - they're cool!

Still some work to do but things are definitly looking up...

The sink is next...

Dave Perkins - the best stone fabricator in the business. His work can be seen in the pages of superyacht magazines - or our house!

Renee plants the time capsule in the vacant space beneath the counters. "Dear Home Owner...if you are reading this then you have just ripped out the kitchen that we installed - if you think this is bad, here are some photos of the kitchen we ripped out!"

Jim and I arrive with the countertops - cut and ready to install...

Look! Appliances!!!!

Monday, May 01, 2006

Once the cabinet paint is complete we will make our final decisions on wall and ceiling paint....

Lot's of people I've talked to say that the trim will take years and years and we may never finish it - they don't have Task Master Renee Devine cracking the whip over them!

We have appliances being delivered at the end of this week!! or is it next week? I can't remember.

The paint is almost done. We hired this job out as well - they spray the final coat and then tip it out with a brush to get the authentic look.

The final upper cabinet - these got lots of screws to hold them in place!

Cabinets are up and waiting for paint.

Hired the best in the business for our countertops - Dave Perkins does amazing stone work on mega yachts.

We took a day off!
